Maximal Minimalism

Inspired by our natural world, minimalism and a journey to embrace the imperfect, these pieces were created to bring the feeling of grounding and calm I experience in nature onto canvas. Meant to bring subtle beauty and warmth into an interior, without demanding attention.

Creating them was a practice of using less (primarily one paint color) and letting texture and line inform the pieces. They further come to life when sunshine crosses them, or as the light of day moves through a space changing the shape and creating shadows within the textures.
